So for my last term assessment I had to tell a news story based on some hot science that was being done at Otago University. After several stops and starts I finally found a story which I could focus on. So here it is in all its glory…roll film!

Just finished another carving, same shape as the last one but a nicer more flawed bone. Lovely texture and finish, if i say so myself

Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with my friend Carla and her family at Lake Tekapo. I also had the pleasure of meeting two of NZ most talented artist, Austin Deans and Ben Woollcombe. They were kind enough to let me take some photos of them painting and here are the results and yes I know colour isnt usually my thing but it was a lovely day and I had a few rolls of colour film in my pocket so I thought I would give them a go!

With the snow and rain and the fact that I can see my breath in my room. You will have to forgive me for not posting anymore photos up lately. But I haven’t been sitting on my butt doing nothing (well not all the time anyway). I’ve been trying to get back into bone carving, something that got forgotten when I went to uni. Seeing the weather has cleared up and I have run out of suitable bone to carve, I thought I should get off my ass and take some photos. Nothin overly special, just the friendly (sometimes) people of dunedin doing their thing.
